What will campers do?
 

• The kids write, direct, and shoot a music video for local bands, with a film screening at the end of the week showcasing all their work! The bands will often show up to watch the showcase as well! The kids have a Q&A after their films are shown.

• In the past, there have been about five groups with 5 kids, and two volunteers each, usually 1:1 ratio campers to producers ratio the week of camp

• Volunteers work 8:30am-4:30pm for the five days of camp

• Day one: groups are formed, usually 8-11, 12-14, 15-16 depending on age distributions, each group has a buddy group, so the older and younger kids can get to collaborate during set times throughout the week, they listen to the music and get to choose the songs they want to do

• A typical day at camp starts and ends with everyone together of all ages, in “assembly”, doing warm up activities, then the age groups (“Pix” for younger and “Flix” for older groups)  alternate doing workshops and working on their films with their crews throughout the day

• Sometimes there are screenings and guest speakers during lunches

• Workshops in the past have been on filmmaking, zines, self care, acting… they can be about anything!

What is the Tuition?

No questions asked sliding scale pricing, with a suggested tuition of $200. No one is turned away due to lack to funds! Campers are accepted on a first come/first served basis – if you’ve submitted an application, you're in! We provide a free healthy lunch and snacks to campers throughout the week, as well as all the equipment they need to make their videos!
